Lectureship At Otago (N'Z Press Association) DUNEDIN May 22 Mr S Jones.' a Welshman who has arrived in Dunedin to take up a senior lectureship in economics at the University of Otago, was a Labour Party candidate for a Welsh constituency m the last British Genera) Elections Asked whether he would be interested in political activity in New Zealand. Mr Jones said that he believed the issues between parties would be rather different here “In the meantime I am keeping my ears open and my mouth shut.” he said Mr Jones is a graduate of the University of Wales where he has been a lecturer in economics for the last 10 years His special interests have been in public finance and economic development He is accompanied by bis wife and two children.
