Foxton Winner Relegated
(NZ. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ May 20. Splice, ridden by S. A. Waddell, which finished first in the Oroua Downs Hurdles at Foxton on Saturday, was relegated to fourth following an inquiry into alleged interference to Wheroma (K. R. Jones) shortly after jumping the last fence. The judicial committee's report said it had found there had been interference. The placings were altered to Flockhart 1, Heythorpe 2. Wheroma 3. Splice 4. The committee did not hold Waddell responsible, and the charge against him was dismissed.
