<N Z Press Association i AUCKLAND. May 16. P L. Whiting, the Wellington goalkeeper, was taken to nosoital by ambulance after a sprig cut a deep gash in his leg in the soccer trial at Blandford Park tonight
Whiting who played in both tests for New Zealand last wear, had been brilliant in the 30 minutes of olay before his tniury. Switches were required in the gash, but It is honed that Whitne will be available for the first test against New Caledonia at Christchurch on June 2.
