Saleyards Parking
Sir, —May I point out that the sacrosanctity of Hagley Park derives largely from its pioneering derivation. The saleyards are similarly derived and deserve equal consideration. Indeed, this interlocking of lines of descent gives the farmers a preemptive right to parking in their sister institution, Hagley Park, I cannot see that the principle of divine right can apply to the Sacred Grove and not apply to the saleyards.—Yours, etc, JD.
