ROYAL SCHOOLS OF MUSIC
Examiners For 1962
Practical examinations for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music will be conducted in New Zeeland this year by Messrs C, Fisher and M. C. Boyle and Dr. S. Northcote. Mr Fidler’s very wide experience as a festival judge includes two coast-to-coast tours of Canada. Soon after the last war he returned to the Royal College of Music, where he still is. as a professor of pianoforte. Mr Boyle was educated at Eton College and at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was the John Goss scholar. He has given many organ recitals and talks for the 8.8. C. Dr. Northcote, since 1940 national music adviser to the Carnegie United Kingdom Trust, has been most closely concerned with all facets of amateur music-making. He is chairman of the Intimate Opera Society, vice-chairman of the Cart Rosa Opera Trust, and vice-chairman of the British Federation of Festivals.
