ALMOST HISTORY
Almost an historical document, a farmer produced this week a killing sheet for 100 woolly lambs dated March 2, 1951. Schedule prices ranged from 27d for up to 361 b. 264 d for 37/421b. and 28d for 43/50 lb, -and 25? d for second quality to 421 b. Of the 100 lambs, three were rejected. 18 were second quality. 16 killed under 36Jb. 45 were between 371 b and 421 b. and 18 between 43 lb and 501 b. The three rejects were paid for at 21d per lb. The consignment averaged 38.11 b and averaged 83s 1.8 d,, giving the farmer a net return, less transport, of £1 19s 7d. of £413 l«s Id.
