CABINET IN SYRIA
Azmeh Takes Office

The 50-y ear-old former United Arab Republic Health Minister, Dr. Bashir Azmeh. has formed a 14-man caretaker Syrian Cabinet. The move came last night, two days after President Nazem Kudsi promised a mew constitution and a new Parliament to be elected in free elections.
Dr. Kudsi. who resigned after an Army take-over on March 28, was reinstated as President on Friday.
Major - General Abdel Karim Zahreddin, the Com-mander-in-Chief, is responsible for Defence in the new Cabinet. The deputy Prime Minister is Mr Rashad Barmana. who held the Defence portfolio in the ousted Governftient. He retains the Education Ministry. The new Foreign Minister is Mr Adnan Ashari. Syria's Arab League representative. Mr Nihad Sebai. Professor of Economy at Damascus University. becomes Minister of Economy.
