WELLINGTON, April 20. The Prime Minister, Mr Holyoake, announced today that the training squadron of the Japanese Maritime SelfDefence Forces would pay a formal visit to Wellington from July 24 to 27. The squadron consists of four destroyers with a total complement of about 1000 officers and seamen.
Mr Holyoake' said that although several New Zealand ships had visited Japan since the war and * had enjoyed hospitality in that country, this would be the first return visit.
