ARANUI HIGH SCHOOL
Enrolment Rules Announced The Aranui High School * board of governors announced that it would continue to hold Invalid. If applications for entry there if applications were also made to another school when enrolments begin on July 2. But such a disqualification would not preclude sueh applicants seeking entry on the second round on August 3. if places were still available. The headmaster (Mr W. J. A Brittenden) said the enrolment scheme agreed by principals was basically the same as last year except that applications would be called a month later than last year, which should be an improvement “In line with other schools we will be calling for Form I reports from applicants,” he said. Would the new scheme work as well as that in the past? asked Mr E. F. Wilde. “I think it will work almost as well,” said Mr Bnttenden. “We are so much a district school that what goes on outside does not affect us much. Zoning, for the same reason, would not affect us greatly, but I am opposed to zoning on principle.” "If this scheme does not work, boards may have to resort to consider zoning." said the new chairman (Mr G. A. Shouksmith). "We hope it will work,” said Mr Brittenden. What was wrong with last year’s scheme? asked Mr Wilde.
“No comment,” said Mr Brittenden.
