Czech Purchase Of Mutton
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 18. A consignment of 22.000 ewe carcases, worth about £30,000. is being loaded in the liner Durham at Auckland for shipment through Hamburg to Czechoslovakia. An official of the freezing company supplying the meat said today that this was the first time to his knowledge that an order for ewe mutton had been received direct from Czechoslovakia. Meat had been shipped to Hamburg before and could have been distributed through several European countries.
