OFFER FOR GRIFFIN?
Bid May Be 21s (NJt. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 16. Griffin and Sons. Ltd., biscuit manufacturers, advise that negotiations are proceeding which are expected to culminate in the receipt of an offer of 21s for each os share after payment of a dividend of 8J per cent which (with the interim dividend of 4 per cent, pa-id on November 30) makes a total of 12ts per cent for the year ended March 31. Griffin shares. which opened the year's trading at 16s 9d. rose Is 3d to 19s on Friday. Small Gains By Sterling The £ sterling last week made small gains in relation to the North American currencies Marginal changes in some of uie Continental excliange rates a ere also seen.
