TRADE FAIR’S OVERSEAS
£21,000 Spending A By N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 16. New Zealand will be represented ait three big trade fairs overseas this year, at a cost of about £21,000, an Industries and Commerce Department spokesman said in Wellington today. The available money was being spent as wisely as possible to get the maximum promotional advantages for New Zealand products. About £4OOO will be spent on the New Zealand stand at the Scotland Food Fair in Glasgow, £9OOO at the International Samples Fair at Milan (as a follow-up to New Zealand promotion at the Bologna Food Fair last year), and £BOOO at the Food and Domestic Equipment Trades Fair at Brussels. Last year, the Government spent £6OOO on the Household Fair at Amsterdam, £6OOO at the Bologna Food Fair, £lOOO at the Sydney Trade Fair, and £5OOO at the Modern Homes Exhibition in Glasgow a total outlay of £lB,OOO. New Zealand's exhibits at the food fairs are prepared, in conjunction with the Dairy and Meat Boards, both of which spend large sums annually in promotional activities.
