Grand Print Succeeds (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, April 15. A plain-looking stayer, Grand Print, nicknamed "Bones.” made a remarkable recovery from a last-start injury to win the Invitation Cup at Randwick yesterday. Grand Print came through the field tn the last furlong to win by a length and a half from River Seine. Nilarco was half a length away third, a neck in front of the 5 to 2 favourite Sky High. Grand Print injured his forelegs when he finished fourth behind Aquanita tn the Alister Clark Stakes at Moonee Valley on March 24. The trainer, J. Hesanko, kept the injury secret but did not think that he could get Grand Print . fit for yesterday’s eup r ce. Grand Print yesterday was heavily bandaged on both forelegs. The Sydney two-year-old colt Bogan Road gained a magnificent win in the A.J.C. Sires’ Produce Stakes. Bogan Road came from second last in the field of seven on the turn to head the pacemaker Grammar bad right on the line. Smith, rider of The Nob in the first division of the Tomoana Plate at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club’s autumn meeting at Hastings today, was charged after the race with not riding his horse out to the finish. After hearing from the stipendiary steward and an explanation from Smith, the committee found the charge proved. Smith was suspended from the conclusion of the day’s racing until 5 p.m. on April 21.
