Red Cross At Kimberley
A "very good credit balance and year's work” was reported at the annual meeting of the Kimberley subcentre of the Red Cross Society.
The following donations were made by the group during the year—dried milk appeal, £1; 100 per cent, disabled soldiers, £2; men in Malaya. £1; Old People’s Christmas presents, £2; and Voluntary Aid Detachment. £l. In addition. 19 dozen eggs and cakes and produce were sent to the Red Cross annual market. Babies' clothing for toe Hong Kong layette appeal was also sent. During the coming year the sub-centre intends to continue its sponsorship of an Italian girl. Officers elected were.— Patron. Mrs A. Stott; president, Mrs C. Bilbrough; vicepresidents, Mesdames J. Redmond. R, Manson; secretary. Mrs A. McAulay; treasurer. Mrs B. Steele.
