Lighting Of Cars
Sir,—It is time the Transport Department awoke to the fact that old small English ears are a menace on the roads at night. Their rear red light is so small as to be barely discernible at a moderate distance, and on a wet night, with the lights of oncoming traffic, it is easy to run them down. Instruction should be given to testing stations to refuse them a warrant till a more modern light is fitted.— Yours, etc.,
SAFETY ON THE ROADS. April 11, 1962.
