WELLINGTON. April 12. Mr G. W. Wellington (Marlborough > was elected unopposed as president of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union today in succession to Mr E. G Bevege (Wanganui). The Gov-ernor-General i Lord Cobham » was elected patron. Mr Washington played 17 rears of senior Rugby. He represented the South Island in 1926 He became an administrator in 1938 and had been president of his union for 11 rears. Messrs H. A. McPhee <Wa>rarapt» and D A.
