Worries Over Effects
(NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON April 12. There were two Rugby tour, this season—the AU Blacks to Australia and the Australians to New Zealand There was a danger to inter-provincial play if such a trend continued because many unions would be without their best players for a big part of the season, said Mr J. M Taylor (Wellington) at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union today. The chairman (Mr C. S. Hogg) said 1962 was an unusual year. Short tours would not be allowed to interfere with long tours. The abort tours of England to New Zealand next year, and Wales to South Africa, would be the last until the International Board discussed th* subject In 19M, Mr Hogg said.
Taiaroa To Move To Timaru
R M. Taiaroa. the Canterbury and New Zealand Universities' half-back, has accepted a leaching appointment In Tima ru.
A member of the University club, Taiaroa has toured Australia and the United States with New Zealand UniversftiW teams, and has played for Canterbury on several occasions. He was in a notable Canterbury under 20 representative side a few seasons ago. plavir.g In,lda A. F. Orme and R. D. Hoskin.
