Lawn Tennis TOWN TEAMS
Match Against Country The two Canterbury women tennis players who will make overseas tours this year, Misses J. Davidson and S. Rich, will make their last competitive appearances in Christchurch on Sunday when they play for Town in the annual match against Country at Wilding Park. Miss Davidson is a member of the national women’s team and Miss Rich will make a private tour. The Town team was announced yesterday as follows: Men.— G. A. Davidson (University), L. J. Walpole (University), B. R. Crawford (North Linwood), B. J. Shirlaw (Cashmere), R. Watson (North Linwood), J. Duggan (Elmwood). Reserve: B. W. Crofts (Edgeware ).
Women.—Miss J. Davidson (Cashmere), Mrs P. Leopold (Avonside), Mrs E. Campbell (Cashmere), Miss S. Rich (United), Mrs P. Boatwood (Fendalton), Miss J. McKain (Fendalton). Reserve: Miss H. Blick (United). Junior The Town junior team, with players in alphabetical order, one boy and one girl later to be named as reserves, is:— . Boys.—A. Brooks, W. Edgecombe, G. G. Ford, R.
