Final Match Teams ( N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 21. The match between toe touring Commonwealth cricket team and Wellington at the Basin Reserve was washed out today. Rain cancelled any hope of play and soon after lunch the match was abandoned. The tourists left for Auckland early in the evening to start a match against toe specially-selected Presidents’ XI.

Lively Pitch Possible

(N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 21. The Eden Park pitch for tomorrow’s cricket match between toe Commonwealth team and toe President’s XI, has no bare spots and should retain its grass, even after being out and rolled early tomorrow, toe groundsman, Mr R Beveridge, said today. Mr Beveridge said toe pitch could be lively for seam bowlers during the opening spell, particularly if taere was a heavy dew tonight.
