Tennis Miss Bueno’s Return

Hard, also won her first round match. She beat Miss E. Starkie (Britain), 6-1, 12-10. Miss R. Schuunnan (South Africa) won 9-7, 6-3 over Miss G. Thomas of the United States.

Second Women’s Tournament The second of four weekly women’s lawn tennis tournaments was held at Wilding Park yesterday when about 40 women took part in doubles matches. The tournaments are being held to aid the fund being raised in Canterbury for Miss J. Davidson’s tour overseas and for Canterbury junior players who will go to Australia. A bring-snd-buy sale was associated with yesterday's tournament. Winners of the tournament were Mesdames P. Boatwood and C. Atkinson, of South Brighton.
