SUPPORT FROM W.D.F.F.
Maori Education Appeal To support the appeal for financial support by the Maori Education Foundation, the Canterbury provincial executive of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers decided yesterday to purchase life membership for Canterbury branches and the executive. Mrs J. Blamires, who presided, reported on the Dominion council meeting at Timaru which she attended with Mrs O. Wells, the North Canterbury president, and Mrs R. C. Overton, the Hurunui president. To encourage interest in country girls’ clubs it was decided to present a button to be won by the girl who gains most points in the country girls’ annual competition day.
