Bagpipe Firm Closes Down
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.AJ LONDON, March 6 London’s only English firm of bagpipe makers, run by the Starck family, is closing down after nearly 90 years* existence. The firm has had a constant association with New Zealand, and its last overseas shipment, wihidh has just left the workshop, included several sets for Scots in the Dominion. In the last 10 years, some 2000 sets of pipes have gone all over the world at prices ranging from £2l to £55.
