Hustler Jet Crashes
(NX Pr««« Asm.—CopvrfgM) FORT WORTH (Texas), March 6. A B-58 Hustler supersonic jet bomber crashed and burned on take-off tonight at Carswell Air Force base near Fort Worth. Carswell officials said the plane carried three men. All were killed. The B-58, designed to carry nuclear weapons faster than sound, was of the same type as one which set three new records earlier today in flying across the United States. The spokesman said the men aboard were not members of the crews of the two B-58s involved in today’s record transcontinental flights.
