PLANE CRASH AT MILFORD
Buckled Wing Only Damage < N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 7. A buckled lower port wing was the only damage to a De Havilland Dominie aircraft owned by Southern Scenic Air Services, Ltd., Queenstown, which ground-looped and overshot the runway into timber at Milford yesterday morning. Hie pilot and passengers were not injured. Wing Commander O. J. O’Brien, chief inspector of accidents, said this morning that when the aircraft landed at Milford, a flat tyre on the starboard side was noticed by the pilot. He was able to use the foot brakes, but tills caused the aircraft to ground-loop.
