U.N. Protest At Katanga Attack

Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, March 6 A United Nations spokesman said last night that United Nations officials at Leopoldville were delivering a strong protest to the Katanga President (Mr Tshombe) against an attack by Katanga gendarmerie on United Nations forces near Kamina ville. The spokesman said a 12man Ghanaian United Nations unit was attacked while on patrol by Katanga gendarmarie, with small arms, machine-guns and mortars, on Monday.
