LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
1. Letters sent to the Editor for printing must be written in ink on one side of the paper only, and writers must send in their names and addresses in full. Whether they wish these to be published or not. 2. Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. 3. The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing, nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. 4. Letters must not be at more than 150 words in length.
E.V.—Subject not now open for discussion. C. Fitzgerald.—Your reference to the grandstand is obscure. No doubt the traffic superintendent would be glad to discuss the matter with you. Resin.—You appear to be misinformed. The director of parks and reserves advises that he has never recommended tree-planting on
private land near the Burwood Hospital and thinks any such scheme should be opposed. E.S.G.H.—We have no space for a protracted correspondence on "Nudist Paradise.” Probably the two letters printed (with the censor’s comment on the first) represent an irreconcilable division of public opinion on the subject. R.I.H. —According to the Resident Naval Officer (Lieuten-ant-Commander E. A. Newton) at H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus. Shirley Boys’ High School does not have a "closed" sea cadet unit. If a boy wishes to join he can, if a vacancy exists, enter the "open” unit of H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus. The sea cadet commanding officer (Lieu-tenant-Commander F. Glanville) will provide such information if approached.
