Show Jumping VICTORY FOR AUSTRALIA
Three Clear Rounds (N Z Press Association) GISBORNE, March 4. Australia won the first interdominion team jumping test for the Craven A Trophy at Gisborne on Saturday, finishing four pointe ahead of' a New Zealand “A" team. New Zealand "B" was third. The Australians made a good recovery after the first round and had three clear rounds in the second. They did not need to Jump their fourth horse, Ocean Foam, having already gained a winning margin. At the end of the firstround New Zealand “A” led with 15 faults to Australia's. 19 and New Zealand “B" 56*4. Only Sana Sam managed a clear round in the second round, to the Australian’s Coronation, Pleasure and Look-out. The £lOO prize for the “A" grade horse gaining most points at four shows (Christchurch. Masterton, Hastings and Gisborne) was won by Coronation, ridden by the Australian captain. R. W Hyem. with 36 points. Teams were:— New Zealand A: H V Thomson's (Hawke's Bay) Cawidy. |C.
