OLYMPICS IN TOKYO
Plans Well Advanced (Special Crspdt NJZPA ) LONDON, February 15. Basic planning for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo is nearing completion and “the second phase will be easier--the way to successful Olympics is now open ” This was said by Mr J. Tsushima, chairman of the Japanese Olympics Committee, says the "Guardian.” The “Guardian" adds that Mr Tsushima said arrangements had been completed for placing the Olympic Village on the site of an American military housing are®, a little more than a mile from the main Olympic Stadium The new coastal highway linking Tokyo’s international airport with the centre of the city would be completed before the Games opened, and the rest of the road construction concerned with the Olympics was going according to schedule.
