GENERAL L. W. THORNTON
Visit To Burnham Today
The Chief of the General Staff (Major-General L. W Thornton) will today visit Burnham Military Camp and call briefly at Christchurch Boys’ High School. General Thornton will arrive at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station. Wigram, at 9.45 am. and together with the commanding officer of the Southern Military District (Brigadier A H. Andrews) will drive out to Burnham.
' There he will inspect the Otago University Medical Corps and the Third Mobile Dental Unit. After lunch at the camp. General Thornton will drive back to Christchurch where he will look at the barracks week activities at Christchurch Boys’ High School. About mid-after-noon he will leave for Wellington.
