Canterbury In; Good Position'

Canterbury, sharing the lead with Northern Districts and Auckland in the national under-23 cricket tournament, played itself into a strong position against Wellington at Karori Park today. » The side scored 275 at more than a run a minute, and then picked up four wicket* for 65 before the close. The other fixture at Karori. between Central Districts and Otago, was in the melting pot. with Otago. IM for seven, chasing Central Districts’ 218.
