GENERAL VO PROTESTS
U.S. Action In Vietnam (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG. February 11. North Vietnam's Army Commander-in-Chief. General Vo Nguyen Giap. has sent an urgent message urging the International Control Commission to take measures to stop the establishment of a United States military command in South Vietnam, according to Hanoi Radio. He claimed that the setting up of such a command in Saigon had been officially announced by the United States. General Vo, in his protest note sent yesterday to the Indian chairman of the commission, charged that “never have the Geneva agreements been so seriously undermined as they are now in South Vietnam.” The American decision, he added, “shows that the United States has taken a further dangerous step in its plan for armed aggression in South Vietnam.”
