(N.Z.P A -Reuter—Copyright) ADELAIDE. Feb. 12 An offer which some racing men think may be as high as £50,000 has been made by an American for the champion two-year-old filly. Proud Miss. Proud Miss won her ninth consecutive race at Morphetville, South Australia, on Saturday. Shortage of Sheets.— A shortage of canvas sheets for rail trucks at Lyttelton yesterday caused intermittent delays to vessels discharging. Only one discharging vessel, the Waimea, which was scheduled to sail, continued discharging. Other discharging vessels switched to loading where possible to prevent delay. f
