Sheep Theft Fines
( N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb 12. Thinking it would be a good publicity stunt to display a live sheep through the cafeteria which one of the two defendants owned, they had captured one on a farm at Upper Hutt and brought it into Wellington, the Magistrate's Court was told today. Charged with stealing a Romney sheep valued at £2 10s. were Louis Paul Peters, aged 40. cafe proprietor, and Ray Edward Eveleigh. aged 21 cafe manager. Represented by Mr V H Peters, both admitted the charge. Each was convicted and fined £5O by Mr M. B. Scully, S.M.
