No Response On Seized Mail
( N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb. 12 Although inquiries are still being made by the New Zealand Post Office, there has been no response from the United Arab Republic postal authorities on the question of the bag of Israel-bound mail seized while being transported through the Suez Canal late last year. As a result of this incident all surface mails from New Zealand to Israel are now being sent by way of Panama or South Africa to the United Kingdom for transhipment, and from Israel mails are being sent by way of America.
