ACTRESS SAFE
Rescue From Island (N.Z.P .A.-Reuter—Copyright) NASSAU (Bahamas), February 8. The actress, Jayne Mansfield, returned safely to Nassau today shivering and weeping with a story of a harrowing experience at sea and a night on a chilly beach. She was taken to hospital for treatment of shock, exposure and coral rock cuts. The blonde actress, her weight - lifting husband, Mickey Hargitay, and a Florida friend were found safe this morning on a beach at Rose Island after a nightlong search begun when they failed to return last night from their water ski trip. They drifted for about an hour on their overturned boat until they came to a rock, where they spent the night. At daylight they swam to the island where they slept, exhausted, until a searching plane found them.
