The Australian women'* softball team, by virtue of their greater experience, defeated Auckland 5-0 at Blandford Park on Saturday. In the curtain-raiser*; Auckland junior women retained its national title with a 21-4 win over Manawatu and Huntiy defeated Panmure Ace* 5-1.
The Australian*’ fielding waa clean and their throwing strong and accurate. Also, they hit strongly, particularly M. Nelson. Auckland committed nine errors to Australia's one, and had six sale hit*—as many as their opponents. I
