POOR COVERINGS FOR MILK
Consumer Survey By Board
The Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board, with the assistance of the Vendors' Association, will carry out a survey to find the approximate number of consumers who do not have an adequa e box or cover to protect milk from sunlight or, in some cases, from dogs and cats. The chairman of the board f Mr G. D. Hattaway) told members at a meeting that a recent spot check by the board’s inspector showed no box or container was provided in many cases Sometimes the box was broken or damaged, which meant the vendor had to leave the milk inadequately protected.
It is again stressed that all consumers, in their own interest, should ensure that a suitable box is provided so that milk on delivery is properly protected,” said Mr Hattawav. Mr W? E.
