First Match In Africa (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) NAIROBI, February 10. The Commonwealth cricket team, beginning the first match of its eight-week world tour, scored 346 at almost a run a minute against East Africa today. The home team lost five wickets in scoring 72 before the close on the first day of the three-day match. Pakistan’s Hanif Mohammad was tcp scorer for the Commonwealth side with 178. made in fine style. But the brightest batting came from the former West Indies test player, E. Weekes, who hit a powerful 83. The most successful East African bowler was C. D. Patel, of Tanganyika, who took three for 92.
