LAUNCH TAKEN
Found On Sea-Bed ( N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 11. The 16ft launch Mako was stolen from Mission Bay on Saturday night, when thieves presumably decided to go for a “moonlight cruise” on the harbour. Now the launch is at the bottom of the harbour. The thieves forgot to put the bungs in. After a day's intensive search the Mako was found on the seabed about a quarter of a mile from the Kohimarama beach. The launch is valued at £l2OO. Attempts will be made to salvage her tomorrow The launch was taken from 139 Tamaki drive and presumably towed to the slipway at Kohimarama.
