Mr C. A. S. Lowe, manager of the London Assurance, was elected chairman of the Canterbury Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, at the recent annual meeting of the association Mr E C. Ellison, manag-. of the London and Lancashire Insurance Company. Ltd., was elected vice-chairman Mr N D Thomson was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand by Mr Justice Richmond yesterday, on the motion of Mr W G P Cuningham.
