FESTIVAL QUEEN CONTEST
Semi-Finals Next
Tuesday
The semi-finals of the Christchurch festival queen competition will be held next Tuesday in a city store. The 12 semi-finalists, whose average age is 20, will be judged by the Christchurch manager of the New Zealand Tourist Bureau (Mr W. A. Pickford) and the two stars of "My Fair Lady,” Patricia Moore and David Oxley. The semi-finalists are: Patricia Venning, aged 20. Patricia Oldfield (23), Susan Kellaway (21), Ruth Bromley (20), Elizabeth Garrett (20) June McVicar (19), Kay Prendeville (19), Jean Devine (21) Brenda Eadie (21), Linell Oakley (19), Diane Jacobs (18), and Glenys Keats (20).
