CURRENT NOTES
Travel Club Meets.— The first meeting of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Trave] Club, a morning tea presided over by Sir Joseph Ward, was held this week. Club members and guests were welcomed by Mrs J. Collins. The guest speaker was a former director of education in Samoa (Mr J Leggat), Overseas guests were Mrs P. Watts, of Sydney, and Mrs M. J. Lenihan, of Philadelphia. Mrs H Taylor, accompanied by Mrs J. Davies at the piano, sang three songs. The speaker and artists were thanked by Mrs R. Masters.
