(N .2 J>-A. -Reuttr—Copyright) BRISBANE, February 9 Mount Isa Mines, Ltd., reached the highest production rate in its history in its latest twenty-eight day production period to February 4. Total copper and lead-zinc ore treated by the mills at 237,247 tons was nearly 10.000 tons more than in any previous comparable period. It represented daily production of almost 8500 tons.

This marks a full production recovery from the eight weeks’ stoppage caused by an industrial dispute, which ended in late November. Ore Treated Total ore treated was 33.639 tons greater than in the previous period to January 7. In the latest period the mills treated 62,764 tons of lead-zinc ore (previous period 49,000) for production of 4370 tons of lead bullion (3960) and 4725 tons of zinc concentrates (3534).

Copper ore treated totalled 174.483 tons (154,008) for 3195 tons of blister copper (3960) and 4725 tons of zinc copper concentrates were railed for shipment (9874), The latest period was the second full production period since the industrial dispute was settled and the daily rate of 8500 tons is the highest ever achieved over a full period.
