(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) BONN, February 8.

A German aviation writer, Erhard Heckmann, testified in court yesterday that Valentin Alexandrovich Tripolzev, a member of a Russian trade mission, had lavished costly presents and cash on him in return for information on the production of a vertical take-off fighter. Pripolzev, aged 43, is the first Russian citizen to be charged with espionage in West Germany, said the British United Press. His trial opened in Karlsruhe in spite of Russian demands that he be freed immediately on grounds of diplomatic immunity. West Germany replied that Pripolzev *s name did not appear on any diplomatic last.
