Missionary Killed
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) JERUSALEM, Feb. 9. A British woman missionary, Miss Ann Lansbury, aged 57, was shot dead yesterday in the no-man’s land between Jordan and Israel. Israel police sources said a Jordanian sentry fired the shot. United Nations truce supervisory officers had taken her body back to the Israeli sector, an Israeli police spokesman said.
British Consulate sources later said it appeared Miss Lansbury had walked from the Israeli border towards the Jordanian lines and had ignored a sentry’s challenge.
