Plants should be in full leaf and in the case of second year canes, fruiting or past fruiting. Either a high or low volume spray will give effective coverage. For a slow kill of foliage and canes, rates of application vary from district, to district. They are, for instance, lower in Northern areas than they are in he South. This slow kill is vital. The slower the foliage cane check to ground level, then the fewer the regrowths. i Regrowths should be treated after one year and a third application completes eradication.
