SUPREME COURT HEARINGS
Four Judges To Sit Together

AUCKLAND. February 2. Four Judges will sit as a Full Court when the next sessions of the Auckland Supreme Court begin on Tuesday. This innovation has been adopted because of the abolition of the grand jury system. The Crown Prosecutor (Mr G, D. Speight) will present (tie indictments to the Court Counsel engaged in the cases for the sessions will appear at the opening. Judges have the power to discharge a person without trial under the new system Formerly a grand jury studied the evidence and returned a true bill or no bill
