LONDON. February 3. The Welsh Rugby Union international wing, D. Bebb has turned down a record £lO,OOO offer to play Rugby League, the “Evening News*'
reported. The English club, Leeds, had put the offer to Bebb last week.
The 23-yeer-old teacher who has been “capped" 15 times by Wales rejected the offer without a second
thought. Bebb said he had no intention of switching to League “I am happy in Wales and enjoy playing for my country,” he said. “Also if I am good enough 1 would much like to go to South Africa with the Britirti Lions this year.” The present record tigningon fee was paid last week when the Oldham Rugby League Club bought another Welsh international, M. Price, for £7500, the newspaper said.

Two Fijian Rugby players arrived at Manchester Airport yesterday to join the English Rugby League Club, Rochdale Hornets.
They are L. Ravouvou and V. Driu. who will join two fellow countrymen at Rochdale, J. Levula and O. Dawai.
The new players, both forwards. are expected to be match fit within the next fortnight Levula and Dawai have become firm favourites with British Rugby League followers.
