PLAY HELD UP
Complaint By Harris
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) JOHANNESBURG. Feb. 3. P. G. Z. Harris held up play at the beginning of the New Zealand cricket team's second innings when he complained that a spectator in the crowd of more than 18,000 at the Wanderers ground was shining a mirror in his eyes. This incident took place after the Springbok pace bowler, P. S. Heine, had dismissed S. N. McGregor with the second delivery of the innings. One of the umpires ran to the boundary and asked an official to remove the offending spectator. Then, when the game was about to resume, Harris again pointed in the direction of the stand adjoining the main covered grandstand. After that Heine continued his first over.
Harris showed he was not unnerved by the incident for he hit two sparkling fours.
