Fuchs Decorated
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—-Copyright) BERLIN (Eastern Sector), January 16. Dr. Klaus Fuchs. the scientist gaoled by Britain for passing atomic secrets to Russia, was decorated yesterday with East Germany's “Order of Merit of the Fatherland in Silver.” Dr. Fuchs, aged 60. was granted the medal for "his outstanding scientific work In the field of atomic physics and his consistent support for the victory of socialism in the German Democratic Republic."
